OUR FOUNDATIONAL BELIEFS

 

We are freedom loving Albertans that realize a free people can only live free if the foundation of their nation is created properly from the onset.  Canada wasn’t created with this mindset.  Albertans have never had a voice or true freedom as subjects of Canada.  For 120 years we have had, and continue to have massive taxation without representation.  The living standards and wealth of working Albertans has been deteriorating with each passing year no matter what political party controls the federal government. 

 

Our goal is to create a transitional government, one that will lead Alberta into nationhood.  At that point the people of Alberta shall choose the style of government they want and free elections shall be held.  Your support of The Independence Party will give you the opportunity to have your voice heard so that we can create a nation of freedom loving people while becoming one of the wealthiest nation states on the planet.  One where a strong Constitution will limit government powers and guarantee individual rights.  Upon leaving Canada, your family will no longer suffer the cruel tax burden that has been imposed by the authoritarians in Ottawa.  Think of how much better off you and your family would be financially if you didn't have to pay half of your income to a corrupt federal government. 

 

Wouldn’t you like to actually own land?  Did you know that the land you purchase for a home isn’t yours?  Don’t believe us?  Stop paying property taxes and see how long it takes for the government to evict you and take your property.  That won't happen in a free Alberta!

 

HOW WE GET THERE

 

On forming a new government for Alberta, our first steps toward independence is to form a new Ministry of Independence Preparation. This will be the ministry responsible for the creation of an Alberta Constitution that will limit government powers and enhance the rights of citizens with a strong "for the People", Bill of Rights.  This ministry will be responsible for planning and preparing a new form of government, justice system, military, as well as the other national agencies that will be required in a new independent republic.  Did you know that a single year of the current equalization payments Alberta pays to Ottawa would buy all of the military equipment, support and maintenance systems that the Canadian Forces currently has in Alberta?

 

To put it plainly, we are Albertans that will fight for Albertans.
